What song makes you rock the karaoke mic?

I’ve only done karaoke a couple of times so I can tell you all the songs I’ve actually sang:
- No Rain by Blind Melon
- Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen
- These Boots are Made for Walking by Nancy Sinatra (there’s video of this, but I’m not sure how to edit it to get it online so too bad.)
- I Want to Break Free by Queen
I love singing Queen songs cuz they force me to channel my inner rock star. I’d love to sing some Tom Petty too.
I’m also brave enough to get up and sing stone cold sober, even though I am not the best singer. I do tend to start dancing along a bit, and not being an engineered pop star, I end up looking dumb, but hopefully sounding okay.
Sean and I have been trying to decide if we should buy a karaoke machine for the house or not. He found a bunch of karaoke music that we thought would be a hit at any party we had, cuz we picked fewer ballads and pop hits and more songs to rock out to. It’s fun to see someone give ‘er on a ballad, but it’s even more fun to see ’em rock out like they’re singing in the shower or car.
